What's your favorite Christmas Tradition

We have so many traditions at our home
We've always had a live, cut tree and have purchased it at the same lot our entire married life. We selected the perfect spruce again this year the Saturday after Thanksgiving (while DD! was home from college)
Once the tree is decorated we chant Shimbaree-Shimbaroo (ala Barney style) and await a visit from the Christmas Elf (this year he brought tickets to see a local production of The Christmas Carol) God bless us everyone!

From cookie exchanges, to Christmas Eve services with friends, the lighting of the advent candle, to Christmas day at Grandmas...the holidays abound with traditions. And we wouldn't change a thing! Merry Christmas to you!

Is it OK to...

You're sitting in your Doctor or Dentist's office reading a magazine
Is it OK to remove coupons or samples from the waiting room copy?

Is it OK to tear our an article? Stash the current issue in your purse so you can finish the article later at home?

What's for dinner tonight?

Tonight, I am clueless as to what to have for dinner as the DD has a church youth activity at 6pm and they will feed her a snack supper. DH has bible study at 7:3o and I mentor a knitting group at 6:15. Probably leftovers...what about you?

When I have been experience several nights of debilitating insomnia I will pop one Tylenol PM gel cap and that seems to keep me from waking fully before sunrise. I pray, read, pray and never look at the clock.

What is the one thing you want to learn?

Life is one big lesson and human beings should continue to learn their entire lives.

I have always loved the beauty of American Sign Language and have plans to learn to sign once I retire (in 10-15 years). I just don't have time to take on this challenge at this stage in my life. To keep the plan alive, I read books on ASL, talk to people who sign and try to learn more about opportunities where I could be useful IF I had the ability to sign. I would like to use the new skill with my education and work background to assist the deaf community in the medical field, which I understand is under served.

What do you want to learn? Knitting, water-skiing, accounting, speaking a foreign language? What's your plan to acquire the new skill?

What 's the plan your life?

Yesterday you answered what are you living for? Perhaps you were surprised by your answer. Perhaps what you are living for TODAY is not what you want for your life, not what you hope will be your legacy. The time to determine what you are living for is today...

Today's question, while vaguely similar should be answered from a different perspective...

Your plan will serve as a road map. If you know the plan for your life you'll be more likely to take the proper steps to reach the destination you have in mind. No plan, no telling where you'll end up!

I suggest you record where you want to end up and then list at least 3 steps you need to take to steer you toward that goal. What are you going to do today, in the next 3 months and in the next 12 months that will get you closer to where you want to be?

Live each day in accordance to your plan...
